Brigid Walker
Celebrating Life though the Gift of Dance
Brigid Walker is a pre-professional classical ballerina with over 11 years of dance and performance experience. Originally born in Las Cruces, NM, Brigid has trained extensively with various international instructors in Chicago and at Master Ballet Academy in Arizona, and has attended summer intensives in London, Monaco, and Florida. She has also trained with several noted instructors in both New York City and San Francisco. In addition to over 5 years of pointe work and 3 years of contemporary training, Brigid excels in hip hop, jazz, character, and musical theater. Brigid is currently training with longtime mentor Preston Miller in Chicago, and traveling to various U.S. cities assisting at contemporary ballet workshops. She will be attending the Royal Ballet Upper School in London starting this fall.
Brigid’s excellence in dance and performance is being recognized. She received the bronze medal at the YAGP International NYC Finals in 2016, placed 1st in Classical Ballet at the Austin semifinals (2016), and 1st in the Ensemble category at the Denver semifinals (2016). In 2015, she received the YAGP Youth Grand Prix Award in Chicago, and went on to place in the top 25 at the NYC Finals.

Her passionate artistry and precise technique have been influenced by the diverse and wide ranging experiences of well-known teachers and choreographers from around the world. Brigid's hard work ethic and positive personality shine through her dancing, and she has consequently been offered many scholarships to prestigious schools including:
